The Newcomer (Pembunuhan di Nihonbashi) – Detektif Kaga Kyoichiro baru dipindahkan ke Nihonbashi, Tokyo. Dia sangat berpengalaman dalam menangani kasus kriminal yang salah satunya menyelidiki kasus pembunuhan seorang wanita. Semakin Kaga mendalami kasus tersebut, semakin banyak pula tersangka baru bermunculan bahkan semakin diselidiki hampir semua orang yang tinggal dan bekerja di Distrik Nihonbashi memiliki motif sebagai pelaku. Inilah tantangan yang akan dihadapi oleh detektif Kaga sebagai orang baru di Nihonbashi. Detail-detail kecil dapat berpengaruh besar dalam novel ini. Apakah detektif Kaga dapat mengungkap apa yang terjadi dalam kasus ini? Apakah pembunuhnya lebih dari satu orang? Apakah pembunuhnya adalah relasi dari si korban?

🙋🏻♂️Ini novel yang sangat amat detail, apalagi ini genrenya misteri dan investigasi. Jadi, semua tokoh yang terlibat walaupun sedikit dalam kasusnya pasti memiliki cerita sendiri atau tetap dihighlight walaupun perannya tidak banyak. Penokohan dari si detektif Kaga sendiri yang membuat novel ini sangat detail, karena memang itulah kebiasaan detektif Kaga. Menyusuri setiap akar masalah. Namun, karena sangat detail alur cerita novel ini terkesan lambat dan bertele-tele, jadi aku sendiri kerasa bosen sama alurnya.
🙋🏻♀️Dalam seri novel-novel Keigo Higashino biasa terbagi menjadi 2 jenis. Pertama seri detektif Galileo dan yang kedua seri detektif Kaga. Nah, novel ini merupakan seri detektif Kaga. Kaga merupakan detektif yang gemar akan detail dari setiap suspect-nya. Karena itu novel ini sedikit bertele-tele. Dalam catatanku ketika membaca novel ini, terdapat 32 tokoh yang tercantum dalam novel (aku lampirkan di bawah sini, ya).

Novel ini cocok dijadikan koleksi kami. Namun, tidak masuk ke dalam list novel-novel Keigo Higashino favorit kami. Tapi, novel ini akan cocok banget buat kamu yang suka akan detail dari setiap tokohnya.

The Newcomer (A Murder at Nihonbashi) – Kaga Kyoichiro, a detective who was recently relocated to Nihonbashi, Tokyo. He is very experienced in handling criminal cases, one of which investigates the murder of a woman. The more Kaga delves into the case, the more new suspects appear and almost everyone who lives and works in the Nihonbashi District has a motive as the perpetrator. This is the challenge that detective Kaga will face as a new detective in Nihonbashi. Small details can have a big impact in this novel. Will detective Kaga be able to uncover what happened in this case? Is the killer more than one person? Is the killer a relation of the victim?

🙋🏻♂️This is a very, very detailed novel, especially since it's a mystery and investigation genre. So, all the characters who are involved even a little in the case must have their own story or still be highlighted even though their role is not much. The characterization of detective Kaga himself makes this novel very detailed, because that is the habit of detective Kaga. Tracing every root of the problem. However, because it is very detailed, the storyline of this novel seems slow and wordy, so I myself feel bored with the plot.
🙋🏻♀️Keigo Higashino's series of novels are usually divided into two types. The first is the Galileo detective series and the second is the Kaga detective series. Well, this novel is the Kaga detective series. Kaga is a detective who likes the details of each suspect. That's why this novel is a bit wordy. In my notes when reading this novel, there are 32 characters listed in the novel (I attach it below).

This novel fits into our collection. However, it doesn't make the list of our favorite Keigo Higashino novels. But, this novel will be perfect for those of you who like the details of each character.
