Fakta Menarik
Mari Kita Ulas
Salvation of a Saint – Bercerita tentang seorang suami, Mashiba Yoshitaka yang ditemukan tewas di rumahnya akibat kopi beracun.

Fun Fact
Did you know, this novel of Keigo Higashino is raising the issue of patriarchy. What is emphasized in this whole novel is the emancipation of women, in this case Keigo sensei wants to convey that women are also strong and have the same good intuition as men.
Here Comes the Review
Salvation of a Saint – The novel tells the story of a husband, Mashiba Yoshitaka, who was found dead in his home from poisoned coffee. His wife, Mashiba Ayane has a strong motive because she was betrayed by her husband. However, the odd thing is that on the day when her husband died from poison, Ayane was far from home.
Wakayama Hiromi, Ayane’s favorite student who is also her assistant, is the first person who found Yoshitaka dead on the ground in his house after he drank the poisoned coffee and spilled it over him. This is the reason why Hiromi also has a strong motive for the murder.
The investigation of this case is conducted by Utsumi Kaoru and Kusanagi, detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department. The interesting part about the investigation of this case is how Kusanagi empathizes too much with the suspect so the investigation seems subjective. Therefore, Utsumi asked Professor Manabu Yukawa a.k.a Detective Galileo to solve this complicated case.
So how did Detective Galileo solve this complicated case? How did the poison get into the coffee?
Nick and Nora’s Mind
ππ»♂️ Again, Detective Galileo amazed me with his mindset and experimentation. Even though this is a very complicated and structured way of murder, and was designated a perfect crime. In this novel, I also got the impression that Keigo sensei wanted to prove that women can also be assigned as detectives and that they even have a sharp intuition in some aspects than men. This novel has an organized back and forth plot that doesn't leave us confused.
ππ»♀️ Since this is a novel raising the patriarchy issues, that's a plus point for me, moreover this novel is the Detective Galileo series (which is my favorite). The novel is also not too thick for Keigo Higashino's type of novel, so I recommend you to read it!
