Kehidupan Gala berubah 180 derajat, disusul dengan Adik perempuannya yang hendak menikah yang mengharuskan Gala mencari pengganti Bara secepatnya. Keseruan cerita pada novel ini di saat Gala mencoba berbagai cara untuk mencari pria yang cocok untuknya. Mulai dari les diving, blind date, hingga tinder. Hingga suatu ketika Gala bertemu dengan Aiman, dokter gigi yang ia kenal di bioskop.
Aiman lambat laun menjadi sosok 911 untuk Gala, meski Gala tahu Aiman bukan tipe pria yang ingin menikah dan tidak mungkin Gala mengharapkannya, terlebih lagi Bara sudah melamar pacar barunya.

Wah, novel ini memberikan banyak pelajaran dan memperluas sudut pandang kita (terutama perempuan) terhadap pria dan hubungan. Hal penting yang bisa dipetik dari cerita ini adalah bahwa sebagai perempuan, kita harus mampu berdiri di atas kaki sendiri dan tidak menggantungkan kebahagiaan pada laki-laki secara berlebihan.
Untuk bagian ending, memang menimbulkan pro dan kontra—ada yang merasa kurang puas, ada pula yang justru setuju dengan penyelesaiannya. Namun bagi saya, endingnya terasa sangat natural dan realistis. Pesan yang tersirat adalah bahwa jodoh tidak perlu dikejar; semakin dikejar, bisa jadi malah semakin jauh—bahkan salah orang.

Ganjil - Genap – Set in a metropolitan city, the story takes readers into the life of Gala, the main female character. Her life changes completely after breaking up with Bara, her boyfriend of thirteen years.
"You're too good," said Bara to Gala when he ended their relationship.
Gala’s life completely changes, especially when her younger sister announces she is getting married, which forces Gala to find a replacement for Bara as soon as possible. The fun part of this novel is seeing how Gala tries different ways to find the right guy for her, from taking diving lessons to going on blind dates and even trying Tinder. Then one day, she meets Aiman, a dentist she happens to meet at the cinema.
Over time, Aiman becomes a kind of 911 for Gala, even though she knows he is not the type of man who wants to get married. She also knows she should not expect anything from him, especially since Bara has already proposed to his new girlfriend.
Will Gala and Aiman’s relationship ever become real?

Wow, this novel offers a lot of lessons and broadens our perspective, especially for women, about men and relationships. The key takeaway from this story is that as women, we should be able to stand on our own and not rely too much on men for our happiness.
As for the ending, it sparked mixed opinions. Some readers felt unsatisfied, while others agreed with how it wrapped up. For me, the ending felt very natural and realistic. The message behind it is that love does not need to be chased. The more you chase it, the further it might slip away or even lead you to the wrong person.
